Environmental Remediation Lead

Job Responsibilities:

Pond is seeking an experienced remediation group lead to join our growing Environmental Services team. The ideal candidate possesses significant career environmental consulting experience managing clients in both the public and private sectors and will be expected to expand services with existing Pond clients as well as develop new opportunities, clients and markets.

Candidate will have in depth and long-term experience building, managing and leveraging interdisciplinary teams for full-service remediation and restoration projects, site investigations and characterizations, groundwater investigations, soils studies, as well as, remediation planning, design and construction. The candidate must be fluent in current and emerging PFAS/PFOA regulation and understand private and public sector opportunities for PFAS remediation consulting. This is a rapid growth position with teambuilding opportunities for national and international expansion.

Job Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have demonstrated knowledge and applied experience in the following: 

  • Environmental characterization/remediation project experience, including environmental sampling and subcontractor oversight.
  • Management of site investigations/characterizations, remedial investigations, feasibility studies, engineering evaluations, remedial designs/actions, construction and maintenance of remediation systems
  • Senior-level technical direction and review of client deliverables
  • Oversight, direction, and training of project staff
  • Knowledge of US EPA regulations including CERCLA and RCRA
  • Coordination with interdisciplinary teams for various engineering, construction, remediation and restoration projects


  • Professional geologist (PG) or professional engineer (PE) strongly preferred
  • BS in environmental, civil or chemical engineering or geology.
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • 15+ years of experience
  • Interest and ability to interact with clients and project teams
  • Strong QA/QC skills and ability to deliver complete and clean documents
  • Membership in appropriate professional societies
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office
  • Understanding of project and staff metrics
  • Excellent technical writing and communication skills
  • Willingness to travel as required.
