We are currently in need of an experienced Civil Engineer to join our rapidly growing Community Development group as a Civil Engineering Project Manager, to be located in either of our Atlanta offices. We are looking for an intellectually savvy and responsive civil engineer to complement our award-winning, growth-oriented firm. Qualified individuals will have their professional licensure as a civil engineer in the State of Georgia. In addition, the ideal candidate will have at least 8 years in an A/E focused consulting environment completing full civil site design for private development, industrial, higher education, and/or municipal clients, with successful experience in managing the design and financials of a civil land development project.
This position will work closely with the other Community Development staff of engineers and landscape architects to lead the design for varied site development projects throughout the southeast. Projects will include primarily private residential/commercial site development design, park/greenway site development design, and infrastructure design with City, County, and State government agencies. A successful candidate shall lead and manage the design and technical staff for varied civil engineering projects in the preparation of design document packages (drawings, specifications, cost estimates, reports, etc.) while successfully building, maintaining and managing client relationships.
This position requires 8+ years’ experience as a civil engineer in a consulting environment. An accredited degree in civil engineering and Professional Engineer (PE) registration required. Requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, proven ability to work with people of varying backgrounds, and strong presentation ability. Experience with commercial and/or municipal site development projects in the Atlanta area is required, with the ability to develop civil construction plans and specifications fully and independently while leading a team of junior staff. The candidate should be an energetic self-starter, comfortable with working self-sufficiently, and comfortable with communicating independently with clients and permitting jurisdictions.
