Job Responsibilities:

We are currently seeking a licensed Fire Protection Engineer to join our Fire Protection Engineering Team located in our Atlanta Corporate office. This position reports directly to the Director of Fire Protection Engineering & Code Services and will serve as a fire protection systems engineer to support our Fire Protection Engineering Team. Our projects serve clients in local and federal government and corporate sectors. We have a number of exciting projects in house with growing demands in fire suppression and fire alarm/mass notification systems and life safety/code compliance. Our fire protection team works alongside a full service multi discipline team of professionals in a fast paced, passionate environment of dedicated and talented engineers, architects, planners, and construction employees delivering comprehensive design/consulting to our clients.

Job Qualifications:

Qualified candidates must have a minimum of 4-10 years of experience in fire protection engineering design, preferably in a consulting environment. Candidates must have a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical/Fire Protection Engineering or Mechanical/Fire Protection Engineering Technology with a proven understanding of applied engineering. Engineers with their PE certification in place will be given greater consideration. This opportunity is ideal for engineers who wish to grow their career with a firm dedicated to individual professional growth in an environment centered on team participation. Considerations must have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; and be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship. Proficiency in AutoCAD required, Revit / BIM preferred. Additional job skills that would enhance a candidates standing include: practical experience with HASS calculation software, clear and effective verbal and written Communication skills, excellent working knowledge of NFPA Codes and Standards, and familiarity of ICC Codes and UFC.
