Pond is looking for GIS Analysts with a minimum Bachelor's degree in Geography, Planning or a related field as well as 1-4 years of professional GIS experience (internship experience is applicable). Candidates possessing a Master's degree in geography, planning or a related field, professional training and / or certifications may substitute professional planning experience. Professional GIS Training/Certification is considered a plus. All candidates are required to have the ability to pass a security / background check and security clearance investigation. This position will require a U.S. Passport and the ability to travel overseas as needed.
The GIS Analyst is responsible for the development, maintenance and expansion of national GIS datasets and spatial analysis for federal and private clients. This will include field surveys, data and database development and management, development and recommendations of mapping software and products, and design and development of high-quality analytical mapping products. This position will also be responsible for project coordination and related communication with federal clients, and will assist in the development of organization-wide GIS standards and policies.
