Water/Wastewater Lead Engineer
Job Responsibilities:
We are currently in need of an experienced civil engineer specializing in water/wastewater to join our growing Community Development group. We’re looking for an energetic self-starter to lead and grow a new area of service within Pond. This position will work closely with the other Community Development staff of engineers to provide design expertise for water and wastewater projects throughout the southeast. This position will also be responsible for business development and marketing of water and sewer related projects to new and existing clients.
Projects may include the design and/or analysis of pressure and gravity piping systems, design of water storage facilities, design of pumping stations, water or wastewater planning, or municipal water and wastewater treatment. The ideal candidate will be able to lead design and manage projects with support of Pond’s current staff, while also performing business development duties and selling enough work to build a team of dedicated designers and engineers. Job Qualifications:
This position requires a minimum of 10 years’ experience as a civil engineer in a consulting environment. An accredited degree in civil engineering and Professional Engineer (PE) registration required. Requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, verbal and written communication skills, ability to work with people, and strong presentation skills. Experience with water/wastewater projects is required, with the ability to wholly develop related civil construction plans and specifications. The candidate should be comfortable with working self-sufficiently, and comfortable with communicating independently with clients and permitting jurisdictions. Experience with business development and a network of potential clients is desired.
