Job Responsibilities:

Pond, a full service architectural/ interiors, engineering, planning, and construction firm headquartered in Atlanta, GA is seeking an Army Client Account Manager. This dynamic individual should be motivated by performance and supporting Pond's overall mission as we expand our Federal program. This position is a Field position and can be based remotely.

In addition, the Army Client Account Manager position may require direct supervision but much of what is expected is the ability to lead a matrixed team.

Job Qualifications:


The primary responsibility of the Army Client Account Manager is to develop, implement and manage the Army Account (primarily USACE) in order to grow future business and services. The Client Account Manager is expected to work closely with the customer, be expert on their priorities and requirements and to build relationships with Districts, Divisions and HQUSACE as required. Specifically, the CAM will drive sustainable and reproducible Account growth for the Army Program. 


Strategic Direction- Intelligence and Positioning - ID external drivers influencing the marketplace. Determine where to put resources and investment dollars for growth. Cultivate relationships with potential teaming partners for future opportunities.Competitor and SB Anaylses.

Account Plan Development - Develop opportunity targets based on market conditions and client acquisition strategies; negotiate goals internally. Monitor and support Sales opportunities. Continually seek to improve overall Portfolio Quality.

Account Performance - Maintaining situational awareness of performance across the account. Making sure bookings and pipeline align with monthly projections.

Pursuit Support & AE360 Management - Weekly reviews and updates of the pipeline. Making sure that there are capture plans for all major pursuits. Assisting with teaming and negotiating. Ensure coordination with Marketing for max support. Facilitate Risk Mgmt. sign-offs/ pricing/ proposal review/ and all other unique federal requirements.

Contract Fill-up - Monitor Program Manager performance monthly for achieving bookings against contract capacity. Manage sub positions and non-productive relationships.

Client Relationships - Lead/manage key relationships at all major clients. Optimize cross-selling opportunities (Army – Air Force Programs win together).

Compliance - Maintain situational awareness. Serve on JV Boards for larger programs. Work to ensure FAR compliance. May lead negotiations of fee offers, scopes of work, and contracts of work.

Performance / Risk Assessment - Maintain situational awareness of contract performance. Review all CPAR reports and rebuttals.

OCI Resolution - Serve as Ombudsman in spotting / de-conflicting OCI issues, preferably at Go / No Go stage.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.


Bachelor's degree (BS) from a four-year college or university and ten years or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of post-secondary education and experience. USACE experience is a plus. USACE experience as a Commander is a major plus.


Certain openings may require a professional engineer's license and/or industry recognized certificates/ registrations, depending on the client/project/program requirements.


Occasional attendance at meetings and other off-site events requires the ability to provide reliable transportation. Position may require occasional travel to domestic or foreign locations. Must maintain a current, valid driver's license and proof of insurance. Employee must be able to travel freely on a passport or other official document.
