We are seeking a Environmental Scientist 2 to join our growing Environmental Services team. The ideal candidate possesses significant career experience completing environmental studies, permits, and task management. This individual will possess field team leadership experience and ability and willingness to mentor junior staff. Coordination with clients as needed and management of subcontractor tasks is required. The candidate needs to have demonstrated knowledge and applied experience in the following: wetland identification, delineation, and functional assessments; threatened and endangered species surveys and permitting; cultural and historic resources assessments; preparation and submittal of complete federal, state and local permit applications for authorizations from US Army Corps of Engineers, Florida Department of Environmental Protection, State Water Management Districts, Counties and/ or Municipalities; Geographic Information Systems and Global Positioning Systems; public outreach; and erosion and sediment control inspections
-BS in ecology, natural resources, environmental engineering, environmental planning, or related discipline. -Master's degree preferred. -3 to 8 years of experience with environmental projects. -Interest and ability to interact with clients and project teams. -Strong QA/QC skills and ability to deliver complete and clean documents. -Membership in appropriate professional societies. -Excellent computer skills, including proficiency with MS Office, GIS, and GPS. -Understanding of project and staff metrics. -Excellent technical writing and communication skills. -Willingness to travel as project requires.
